Marketing Agency Serving Southeast Minnesota

Not one market

Agencies like to talk about southeast Minnesota as a region. It is not, really. It is eight or nine small economies that happen to share a map.

The same plan does not travel

A strategy that works in Rochester will underperform in Zumbrota, and not because Zumbrota is smaller. The audiences want different things, buy on different signals and live on different calendars. We have watched clients import a plan from a bigger town and quietly waste a quarter on it.

So before anything gets written, we work out which of these you actually are. Sometimes a business is in one town and selling to another, which changes the answer again.

Town By Town

What changes, where

01 /

Hastings

Close enough to the Twin Cities that half your customers have a metro commute and metro expectations. Content here competes with city brands whether you like it or not, so it has to look the part. The upside is an audience with money and a stated preference for shopping closer to home.

02 /

Lake City

Lake Pepin sets the calendar. Boat traffic, marina season, and a summer population that bears no resemblance to the winter one. The businesses that do well here build a list in July and sell to it in March.

03 /

Cannon Falls

Small, tight, and heavily word-of-mouth. Paid reach does very little. What works is being genuinely visible in the places people already are, which is usually a few well-run local pages rather than the algorithm.

04 /

Zumbrota

A smaller market again, where one good local partnership is worth more than three months of posting. We tend to spend the budget on relationships and events rather than ad spend.

05 /

Rochester

A different animal entirely. Mayo pulls in a constant stream of people from everywhere, professional services are crowded, and the bar for polish is higher. Rochester work usually needs a sharper position and a clearer offer than a small-town business does.

06 /

Winona

A college town with a manufacturing base, which means two audiences on completely different clocks. The student calendar is brutal and predictable, and planning around it is most of the job.

How It Works

Near enough to show up

We are based in Red Wing, which puts most of this region inside an hour. That matters for the first month more than any other, because the work we do on site — shooting, watching how customers move, meeting the staff who will actually be sending us photos — is the part that cannot be done over a call.

After that, most of it runs remotely. Monthly reporting calls, a shared calendar, and a shoot day each quarter that covers the next three months of content.

Pricing does not change by town. The Audit is $675 one time. The Content Plan is $950 a month. Full Management starts at $1,650 a month. The Embed Partnership is scoped to the business.

What changes is what we recommend. A Cannon Falls shop and a Rochester practice can have identical budgets and sensibly spend them on completely different things.

Compare the four ways in

Start with the audit

If you are not sure which of these you are, the $675 audit answers it. You get a read on your own presence, a look at who you are actually competing with locally, and a prioritized list. Plenty of businesses take that list and run it themselves.
